There are ways to overcome sex addiction. Sex addiction is when someone’s desire becomes uncontrollable to the point that they have to hurt someone else.

What you can do is go see a sex counselor or a counselor period. Most of the time there are counselors that deal with sex addiction. Sex is a big part of everyone’s life, but when it gets out of control you will know it, because you will do things that you would not normally do on a daily bases. One thing that you will have to do is become aware of your actions before it is too late. When you become aware then you can start your treatment. Your treatment will be a long and difficult road, but it is worth it.

The treatment is simple. The counselor will get you aware of your actions and then go from there. You might have a few sessions a month and when you start to become clean and control free you will pass your treatment test. Many people go through treatment for a long time. Many go for years and years or just until they know that they are getting better. One thing that you do not want to do is mix sex addiction with alcohol or any types of drugs it can cause you to relapse if possible. Caffeine, like many other addictions, can be tough to beat, but with patience, effort, and time, it can be done without a lot of suffering on your part.

For one week: keep a journal of how much caffeine you consume, whether it be from coffee, tea, chocolate, energy drinks, or soda. The number of times a day you indulge in a food or beverage that contains caffeine may surprise you.

At the end of week one: write down the benefits of beating your caffeine addiction. Include such things as no more sudden energy drops, sleepless nights, nervous energy and restlessness, or the jitters, and no “hidden” spikes in blood pressure and blood sugar levels.

During week two: begin cutting the number of times each day you consume caffeine. Your diary will have revealed a pattern, so every other time you might have chosen a food or drink containing caffeine, find a healthy substitute. If you simply can’t get by without your coffee or tea, begin mixing each cup or glass with half of your regular beverage and half of the decaf version.

Each week: continue to cut in half the amount of caffeine you consume to avoid withdrawals, which can include headaches, moodiness, and restlessness. As you notice yourself with steady energy levels throughout the day, an increased ability to relax, and the better sleep you’ll get each night, you’ll be motivated to kick your caffeine consumption for good.
